How It Works
Call us, email us or complete the form to book your first appointment (same week appointments).
1.
Send us your referral or attend an initial appointment with a specialist GP who has advanced mental health skills.
2.
A specialist mental health care plan is created and sent to the psychiatrist with all information required. (If clinically recommended).
You may be asked to complete questionnaires and/or obtain school reports following this appointment.
Book and pay for your full psychiatric assessment.
3.
At your appointment, the psychiatrist will formulate a comprehensive treatment plan that encompasses therapeutic strategies and recommendations for medications.
4.
Attend appointments every six months with our inhouse co-prescribing GPs to maintain your treatment plan and ensure continued access to prescriptions for medications, if required.
5.
Whether you have an existing diagnosis or are just starting your mental health journey, all patients require a comprehensive Psychiatric assessment.
All new patients will either require a referral from their usual GP to Renatus Clinic or be assessed primarily by a Renatus Specialist General Practitioner who has completed advanced mental health training. Once this step is complete you are eligible to have your assessment with the Psychiatrist.
You choose the option that suits you best:
Your psychiatric assessment, led by a specialist psychiatrist, consists of a deep dive into your medical history, current medications and mental health using advanced screening tools only available to psychiatrists.
Your psychiatrist will diagnose you during this assessment and will come up with an in-depth treatment plan for you to manage your diagnosed condition including prescribing medications and recommended coping strategies.
Your treatment plan will be sent to you and your referring doctor within 10 days.
Prior to your appointment you will complete an online form. If the assessment is for a child, you will be sent forms for the parent and teacher to fill out.
Renatus Clinic accepts patients aged 9 + Australia wide.
